Going Away and A Little Bit of Mischief

We had our son’s going away party Saturday. My best friend of over 30 years made his cake.  It was wonderful to have so many people there to support him. Even people who weren’t able to attend sent cards. One of the children who was there made a huge card for him telling him by taping 8 pieces of paper together. She colored it and wrote in the inside of proud of him she was and that she would be praying for him. One of the little boys painstakingly colored several pages from his coloring book for him. It was so sweet!

After we left the restaurant, my mom and lifelong best friend and her family, came back to our house. There was just a little bit of mischief going on when people weren’t looking…

What my best friend encouraged my mother to do to my bathroom...

What my best friend and I did to my mother's car ...

What I did to my best friend's car the next morning while she was still sleeping ...

Hi again,

I was just looking back over a few pages and see that you hardly get any comments! Mores the pity. Now, on looking over to the side, I see you don't really have that many entries ... only one in 2011, none in 2012. Perhaps that explains it. Sometimes blogging is a chore. When I first started blogging I blogged EVERY day for a number of years ... then D died and I slowed up in the writing department and have gotten slower ever since. I guess I think I've said it all. I was running out of photo room so started to remove some of my posts. Need to remove more again or maybe just get rid of the recipe blog.

Cicero, I wrote a comment and it didn't publish. Oh hey. It's nice to see a comment posted for a change! I have a friend who reads it, but she comments on the phone when we talk. HA!

When I started this blog is was only going to be for the devotionals I write. I kept a different blog for nearly ten years, but I'm not that person anymore. When I started reading my friend's blog, I realized how much I missed it and decided that it was time to begin again. Of course with five children still at home, three of them homeschooling, and one 2 1/2 year old, I just don't get much time to blog!!!

I have said these things unto you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
